Sports galore this week, boys and girls. Saturday’s NFL draft logged a whopping 2 million social media mentions according to Trendrr. Although publications actually reported picks ahead of the actual television event, the draft still drummed up significant social chatter. But the number-one draft pick was no real surprise, anyway — Andrew Luck from Stanford University went to the Indianapolis Colts.

The basketball world watched the first round of the NBA playoffs last weekend. The most buzzed-about game was the Miami Heat against the New York Knicks. The Knicks logged a disappointing game, scoring 67 to Miami’s 100. LeBron James alone scored 32 points, while New York’s Carmelo Anthony managed only 11 points.

However, fans haven’t given up hope that players like Anthony can keep the Knicks afloat in game two, which airs April 30 at 7 p.m. ET. Keep your eyes to Twitter, where fans will surely be dissecting every turnover and rebound.
