Less than two months after announcing its plans to acquire Instagram, Facebook has released its own Instagram clone: Facebook Camera. Much like Instagram, the app lets you view your friend’s latest photos, and apply filters to your pictures to give them a distinctive look.
It can be tough to keep up with all the new apps that are released each week. But you’re in luck: We take care of a lot of that for you, creating a roundup each weekend of some of our own highlights from the week.
This week we found an app that helps you report bad parking and hopefully shame the offender into cleaning up his act. Another app keeps track of your sleeping habits, and yet another helps you keep track of some of your last wishes, and potentially even meet someone who has similar dreams.
When it comes to sharing your life with others, Facebook released a new camera app this week that helps explain why Instagram might have been worth that $1 billion price tag. Once you’ve taken those photos, another new app lets you share them with a friend while you’re having a voice conversation, and another new app, Sing Something, lets you share your voice in a karaoke-style singing competition.
Check out the gallery for a look at some of the highlights from the week, and let us know about some of your own app highlights from the past week in the comments.
